Odesa City Council has published the Cultural Development Strategy of Odesa 2025–2035. The document defines the directions for the development of culture, preservation of heritage, and integration of the city into the European space.
The Strategy is the result of extensive work involving over 400 representatives of cultural and creative industries in our city. It takes into account all aspects, from preserving our unique heritage to implementing innovations and integrating into the European cultural space.
The main goal is sustainable development of Odesa as a cultural center despite the challenges of war. This will attract resources, modernize infrastructure, and strengthen the city's international position.
Expected to be approved in autumn 2024.
We want Odesa to remain a city where people want to live, create, and return.
It is worth reminding that this project was implemented in 2023–2024 by the NGO Pixelated Realities in partnership with the Department of Culture, International Cooperation, and Eurointegration of Odesa City Council under the EU4Culture project. EU4Culture is a program of the European Union aimed at supporting the cultural development of non-capital cities in the countries of the Eastern Partnership. EU4Culture is implemented by the Goethe-Institut in partnership with the Danish Cultural Institute, Czech Centers, and the French Institute in Georgia.
