Introducing the Guide to Arranging Beautiful Odessa Signs! This document is designed to help businesses harmoniously incorporate their signs into the architectural landscape of the city. The guide offers clear recommendations on sign placement, taking into account the features of historical buildings, choice of materials, color palette, and lighting.
The document also includes examples of successful and unsuccessful decisions, how the chosen materials affect the building's appearance, how to avoid typical mistakes, visual noise, and create an aesthetic look for city streets.
The project of the guide was conceived by Oleksandr Levytskyi back in 2014 and finally developed in 2024. It is the result of joint work of the expert team of the NGO Architecture of Odessa @archodessa including designer Oleksandr Levytskyi, architects Mykola Chepelev, Andriy Paziuk, Kyrylo Verbych, historian Dmytro Shamatazhi and others.
The guide was created by order of the NGO Pixelated Realities in partnership with the Department of Culture, International Cooperation and European Integration of the Odessa City Council with the support of the EU within the EU4Culture project. You can familiarize yourself with the Guide to Arranging Beautiful Odessa Signs on our website.
